The Painted Pachyderm - by Ruth Ishbel Munroe

This decorative elephant finds herself alongside parasoled parakeets and an array of hot air balloons...

This design draws upon the Indian tradition of painting elephants at times of celebration.

Original Indian miniatures that inspired the artwork.

Concept sketches drawn in the Lark Rising studio by Ruth Ishbel Munroe.

Patterned Parakeets are  camouflaged within the artwork's festoonery.

The final style - CISCO - a cotton blend soft wrap cardigan. See it in our online store.
